From 2019 to 2024, our company modernized the process control systems (АSUTP) of several installations at Turkmenistan’s flagship oil refining and petrochemical complex, the Turkmenbashy Complex of Oil Refineries (ТКNPZ).

The modernization included the following process control systems:

Primary oil processing units – the atmospheric tubular unit AT-2, which separates crude oil into various fractions for further processing;
Catalytic reforming units (CCR), which produce high-octane gasoline through reforming of straight-run gasoline obtained from primary oil processing units;
Millisecond catalytic cracking units (MSCC) and its structural unit, the gasoline production unit (GPU), which produce AI-92 grade gasoline and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) from various medium and heavy oil fractions;
Polypropylene production units (PPL), which produce the polymer polypropylene from propylene gas.

During the modernization process, the following tasks were completed: the supply of the latest distributed control systems (RSU) and emergency protection systems (PAZ) from the market leader in automation solutions, Schneider Electric Systems; the replacement of morally and physically outdated process control equipment; modification of process control strategies required for operation on the new equipment; and commissioning of the units. All work was completed in full, on time, and without any complaints from the client.

In addition to process control systems for the technological units, our company supplied and installed versions of RSU and PAZ for the training classroom of the Turkmenbashy Refinery’s instrumentation and automation workshop, which is used to train process personnel of the ТКNPZ and staff operating the process control systems.

Improved measurement accuracy of process parameters, better responsiveness to process changes due to new equipment, and enhanced personnel qualifications through training in the classroom contribute to increased process stability, reduced accident rates, and ultimately, improved economic efficiency of the enterprise.

Our company modernized the distributed control systems and emergency protection systems at the Turkmenbashy Complex of Oil Refineries (TKNPZ). The equipment update was carried out on: the catalytic reforming unit (CCR) and the catalytic cracking unit (MSCC).

The goal of the modernization was to replace outdated and worn-out systems with the latest models from one of the leaders in the field of process automation, Schneider Electric Systems.

Additionally, training was provided for TKNPZ personnel on the features of the new control systems in the training classroom of the Instrumentation and Automation workshop at ТКNPZ, for which our company also supplied and installed the equipment.
